Good Agricultural Practices TOT for Rural Promoters

Despite high potential for increased income and jobs in the agriculture sector, lack of capacity has prevented smallholder farmers from increasing their productivity. On June 17, 2020, LINKS under its Driving Agricultural Inputs Markets and Services through Financial Inclusion intervention kicked-off a ‘training of trainers’ (TOT) course on good agricultural practices in maize, rice, soybean, and business management skills for farmers targeting 600 rural promoters (RPs) across Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa. Each RP is expected to stepdown the training to at least 50 farmers who will benefit from increased access to quality Inputs (seeds, fertiliser and crop protection products) and access to finance.
